Antibiotics Antibiotics are substances – either synthetically produced or occurring naturally (in fungi and bacteria, etc.) – that are used to kill or inhibit the growth of certain micro-organisms. As an ingredient in tablets, pastes, liquids or injected solutions, they are often used by vets for cures and prevention. If your puppy is prescribed antibiotics it is important that you follow the prescribed dosage and give your pup the full course of the antibiotics. |
